Analysis of Concrete Block by Partial Replacement of Cement with Fly Ash

The objective of this research is to enhance the properties concrete by using Fly Ash as a partial substitution concrete. Tests carried out on cement are Initial and Final setting time aggregates, specific gravity sieve analysis. mean target strength with given compressive at 28 day quality control level calculated. Concrete blend proportions for first tryout mix calculated casting cube 15mm size curing days, then test UTM/CTM machines. C-S-H gel well Calcium hydroxide bi product when reacts water. has an ability keep ingredients together making proper bond whereas lime which freely available can react atmospheric moisture cause efflorescence. In such cases if we use fly ash, it free produces C-SH again water product. We have used ash replacement variation in percentage. study add increment 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% 35% shown satisfactory results improved workability concrete, decreases bleeding, surface finish increases cohesiveness. Compressive comparatively increased. initial lower but acquires higher after 56 days; shows that more nos. days will be strength. Thus, areas construction dams, pavements etc.
